It's like this for Greek, too

Hi Mike,

A very interesting blog entry. Just curious as to whether you're aware of any translation that follows Athas' lead at Jonah 1.4?

Hey Joel

I'm afraid I'm unable to corroborate his claim from translation or commentary :(

How's your Hebrew?!

Brother,

My Hebrew needs quite a bit of work. :) It's not that I don't agree with him. I do for theological reasons. I'm just uncertain of his exegesis given that I also am unable to corroborate his claim.

Still very interesting and thought-provoking though.

Thanks for the reminder to check people's claims! Hopefully one day I'll be able to evaluate them for myself.

Maybe some summer we should line up some guys and go for one of Randall Buth's Hebrew immersion courses in Israel!

Really happy for you, your wife, and your new baby

That would be awesome trip, brother.

On a family note, fatherhood is a great experience, as you know better than I do. You have a beautiful family, Mike!

We have so much to be thankful for.

Blessings,

Joel
